Job Title: Quality Assurance Coordinator
Salary: $55,000
Classification: Full Time/ Exempt
Reports to: Director of Behavioral Health
Summary: This position is responsible for the coordination of general behavioral health and SAMHSA data gathering process, within the behavioral health department, and identifying trends and continuous quality improvement plans.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts chart reviews as directed by the Director and provides feedback regarding the review.
- Maintains a working knowledge of regulations and guidance from SAMHSA.
- Provides tracking for all reviews and analyzes the findings to identify trends and practices that are exemplary or need improvement.
- Develops and maintains an agency tracking system for internal quality reviews to maintain consistency and readiness for external reviews/audits.
- Generates recommendations for changes to procedures, forms, and policies to improve regulatory compliance and assists in implementation as needed.
- Works closely with Director to ensure QA reports are submitted accurately and on-time.
- Performs chart reviews to ensure data is being captured accurately, treatment planning is effective and person-centered, and all regulatory requirements on the state and federal levels are met
- Assists the Director with setting QA compliance objectives and ensures that targets are achieved.
- Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Must be certified as a Quality Mental Health Profession (QMHP) with preferred experience in a CCBHC type setting.
- Minimum education: Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in social science field (psychology, social work, etc.) Master’s preferred.
- Previous work experience completing comprehensive case file reviews.
- Experience with Microsoft excel is a must.
- Experience tracking data and trends and creating reports.
- Experience working with EMR’s
Time/Physical Requirements
- Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
- Some evening and weekend activities may require flexing schedule
- Able to lift 25lbs and perform normal duties associated in a clinic and office setting.
