This is a 12-month full-time position which will involve day and some evening and weekend work. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating all aspects of Emergency Medical Technician, Emergency Medical Dispatch, American Heart Association classes, and Continuing Education Emergency Medical Science classes.Schedule classes; hire and supervise Continuing Education instructors; act as AHA Training Center coordinator; evaluate and improve program quality; advertise courses; administer logistical class needs; budget for supplies, travel, and professional development; act as an Emergency Medical Science representative to partner agencies; verifying and re-credentialing EMT personnel affiliated with community providers; act as College representative for Onslow County- Camp Lejeune EMS System Plan committees; advising of students; complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.Working hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (occasional nights and weekends)Salary: $3,120.00 per month with final salary determination based upon education and experience.Closing Date: March 16, 2025, or open until filled.Start Date: April 15, 2025.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Associate degree required. Emergency Medical Technician (active status) with a minimum of 5 years field experience, required. Possession of a Level 1 North Carolina EMS Instructor credential, or ability to obtain Level 1 EMS Instructor credential within 6 months of hire date as well as instructor status and a minimum of AHA BLS Provider, required. Paramedic (active status) with a minimum of 3 years field experience, preferred. Possession of Level 1 North Carolina EMS Instructor credential, preferred.
