What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Laboratory Assistant position at Coastal Carolina Health Care, P.A.?
Duties:
- Prepare, handle, and prioritize specimens for testing, ensuring they are properly labeled and appropriate for the test ordered
- Responsible for picking up specimens from CCHC locations three times per day
- Maintain laboratory supplies and answer incoming departmental calls
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Must be able to work independently, follow instructions, and possess excellent communication and attention to detail skills
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical laboratory setting preferred
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and procedures
- Properly labeling specimens and test ordering
Certified Medical Assistants, Phlebotomists, and college graduates with a focus in chemistry or biology are encouraged to apply.
