Hiring Manager – Coastal Child Care
Location: Remote (with in-person work in Moyock, NC possible at times but will be discussed in advance)
Hours: 5-15 hours per week, with potential for growth. Hours will be minimal at first (5-10 hours) with you taking on responsibilities gradually to add additional hours (15 ).
Pay: $8.00-$13.00/hour. This is a remote, entry level position. There is room for growth as the company grows.
Schedule Flexibility: Highly flexible, create your own schedule – work from home with some in-person requirements but advanced notice will be provided. We are willing to consider a strictly remote schedule for the right candidate.
Coastal Child Care is a well-established, high-quality nanny agency with a growing presence across Virginia and North Carolina. We are looking for a detail-oriented and flexible Hiring Manager to join our team and assist with managing the recruitment and staffing process for our expanding business. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about childcare, enjoys working independently, and is open to growing within a fast-paced, family-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interviewing Candidates: Conduct online interviews with prospective nanny and babysitting candidates, using video conferencing (own computer and working web camera required).
- Reference Checks: Call and verify references for applicants, ensuring candidates meet our high standards for child care.You will call from our company phone number.
- Recruitment Support: Assist with job postings, reviewing resumes, and coordinating with our Placement Coordinator and Family Services Consultant to match candidates to families’ needs.
- Training & Onboarding: Support the onboarding process for new hires, following provided training outlines.
- Possible In-Person Responsibilities: Duties may include in person trainings, employee morale events, staff parties, and additional scheduled meetings.
- Possible Future Responsibilities: This position may include adding receptionist and general administration duties (phone calls, emails, scheduling, etc.)
Requirements:
- Childcare Experience: Must have prior experience with children (e.g., babysitting, nannying, parenting, early childhood education).
- Technology Requirements: Access to a computer with a web camera for online interviews.
- Strong Communication Skills: Comfortable engaging with candidates through phone, email, and video.
- Flexibility: Open to working a flexible schedule, with the ability to adjust hours to meet personal needs. Preference for availability would be Monday to Friday before 3 PM.
