Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscaping Crew Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing recurring landscaping job, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role requires a strong background in landscape maintenance, lawn care, and groundskeeping, along with the ability to supervise a small team effectively.
Driver's License is an absolute MUST, and you must be willing to provide proof of valid Driver's License upon hire. Also must have a cell phone with data - all of our scheduling and time keeping is done on an app!
The crew meets daily at 8:00am in South Mills, NC to inspect and load all equipment, and then follow route-optimized schedule; finishing up the day when all jobs are completed for the day.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily landscaping activities, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to our standards.
- Maintain and enhance gardens, lawns, and other landscaped areas through regular care and maintenance.
- Perform lawn care duties including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and weed control.
- Train and supervise crew members on best practices for landscape maintenance and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their landscaping needs and provide exceptional service.
- Daily and routine checking of landscaping equipment to ensure operability.
Experience
- Proven experience in landscaping or groundskeeping roles with a strong focus on landscape maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
- Familiarity with operating landscaping equipment and tools safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise in the field.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
Schedule is Monday through Friday with only occasional weekend work, if it is needed to catch up due to inclement weather during the week.
