Job Description:
Coastal Companies is seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position will involve general maintenance, including but not limited to, minor repairs, light carpentry, painting, and snow removal during the winter season. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for ensuring that facilities remain in optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, light carpentry, painting, etc.
- Complete light carpentry tasks such as repairs, installation of shelves, doors, and trim work.
- Paint and touch up surfaces, both inside and outside of the building, ensuring high-quality finishes.
- Monitor and maintain facility cleanliness and safety, addressing maintenance issues as they arise.
- Manage snow removal operations during the winter months, ensuring walkways, parking lots, and entrances are clear of snow and ice.
- Assist with any additional maintenance needs or projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, general repairs, or similar roles.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting techniques.
- Ability to operate power tools and other maintenance equipment.
- Experience with snow removal and safe use of snow removal equipment during the winter season.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with staff and contractors professionally.
