Position Overview:
As a Heavy Equipment Operator for snow removal, you will operate a range of heavy machinery. You will be responsible for maintaining safe and clear roadways, parking lots, and other essential areas during winter weather conditions. Your role will be crucial in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, and other machinery for snow removal tasks.
- Clear snow and ice from roadways, parking lots, and other designated areas.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts and manage resources effectively.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Respond promptly to snow events and changes in weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment, including loaders, backhoes, and skid steers.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and during irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
- Strong understanding of safety practices related to heavy equipment operation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
