We are hiring a
Plant Engineer
to join our team! As a Plant
Engineer at Coastal it is expected that you actively participate in and support, problem solving and continuous improvement efforts in process and production. Finished products should serve the company purpose to “Ensure the integrity of our customer’s reputation and products from dock to destination.”
What you will do here :
Manage safety during installation / implementation.
Coordinate and supervise work scope with outside contractors and engineering groups on various sized projects.
Maintain projects on budget and on schedule.
Write reports and give presentations based on analysis of information and written materials.
Organize, plan, and work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Manage multiple capital and maintenance projects, including initial planning, design, documenting, budgeting, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Manage maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Lead and support capital and expense projects aimed at improving plant operations.
Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations and standards.
Develop and implement effective engineering solutions to support business and manufacturing operations.
Conduct thorough evaluations and apply engineering techniques to solve complex problems.
Provide comprehensive project management, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
Generate detailed drawings, specifications, and instructions for project implementation.
Ensure all project designs comply with safety and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with external contractors and engineering groups to execute project scopes.
Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and improve plant operations.
Analyze and interpret production data to drive continuous improvement efforts.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology from an accredited college or university. Other degrees considered with substantial experience.
5 years in an industrial paper and / or corrugating, or design engineering environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence and persuade others.
Excellent organization and planning skills.
Ability to work well with consulting engineers, local utility providers, maintenance technicians and local authorities having jurisdiction.
Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and AutoCAD (or similar).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Typical work week : Monday to Friday, with some weekends as needed.
