Key Responsibilities
- Safe operation of tractor trailers and other equipment as assigned
- Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
- Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
- Complying with truck driving rules and regulations
- Reporting defects, accidents, and violations
- Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
- Loading and unloading cargo as required per job
- Interacting with customers in a professional manner
- Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports
- Verifying loads for accuracy
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating vacuum tankers, bulk tankers, and roll-off trailers
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations
