Responsibilities:
- Maximize store sales and achieve store sales goals
- Recruit, hire and motivate a team that inspires customer-centric service standards to provide the very best in-store experience.
- Measure and monitor sales progress and results against key goals
- Lead an environment of productivity by ensuring store staff has the knowledge and skills to meet store goals for sales and customer engagement
- Manages labor and payroll expenses to maximize sales and profitability
- Supports store marketing events and grows relationships in the community to generate brand awareness and drive traffic.
Leadership:
- Provides coaching to the store team in the core areas of customer service and engagement, brand identity, product knowledge, and operations.
- Monitors, evaluates, and executes training programs.
- Organizes and leads store staff meetings.
- Ensures store team receives relevant, timely information, coaching, and feedback that enables their success and growth.
- Recruits, trains and develops a successful sales team
- Recognizes talented staff and develop them for growth within the company
- Plans weekly staffing schedules
- Ensure that employee time is effectively and efficiently used
- Holds staff accountable for meeting sales goals
- Create a fun and positive store environment for customers and store team
Operations:
- Responsible for achieving all financial and operational objectives including expense control, loss prevention, store audits and weekly reports as required.
- Manages all aspects of the store operations
- Meets and exceeds sales goals and standards of performance
- Maintains a safe work environment
- Follow all Loss Prevention practices and protects company assets
- Performs all operational procedures accurately
- Maintains an organized and cleanly store appearance
- Analyzes reports and daily sales
- Evaluates store sales and payroll goals on a daily basis
- Builds customer loyalty through great in-store experiences
Requirements:
- 2 years of related professional management experience
- Associated Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred but not required; or 2 years related retail; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 years’ experience in a fast pace retail environment
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales and profit results
- Proven ability to meet business goals by driving results through store team
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
- Operate office equipment and technology (i.e., computers, phones, fax, copier, etc.)
- Standing required for entire work shift
- Bend, lift, open, and move product up to 50 pounds as needed
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Desire to succeed in fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to lead a team; delegate and follow up
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and store team
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentage.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights and weekends
- Ability to work 40-45 hours per week
