Coastal Engineering is a rapidly growing VOSB specializing in marine-related construction services. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Dive Supervisor with at least 8 years of experience in underwater construction. This role involves leading and overseeing diving teams, ensuring the safety and production of projects, and providing technical expertise in challenging aquatic environments. This is a great opportunity for a motivated self-starter to join a rapidly growing marine construction firm.
Work will be conducted in both field and shop settings, and travel is to be expected. This position will combine team management, safety management, and underwater construction.
Job Duties:
· Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish a clear scope of work, logistics, and mode of operations.
· Manage dive team and responsible for the safety of each member.
· Ensure understanding and compliance with OSHA, EM-385, and ADCI regulations.
· Maintain daily reports.
· Lead and perform underwater construction projects.
· Communicate with Project Managers and some communication with clients/stakeholders.
Required Skills / Certifications:
· 8 years of experience.
· Dive Diploma from an ADCI-accredited diving educational institution.
· Current dive physical.
· Current ADCI Dive Supervisor certification.
· Current driver’s license.
· OSHA 30-hour certificate.
· Oxygen Provider, First Aid, CPR, & AED.
· Boat License.
· Extended training preferred: NHI Underwater Inspection, NHI 2-week Bridge Inspection, ASDSO Dam Safety, NCCCO Rigger, Captain's License, etc.
· Confined space / fall arrest certification.
· Ability to obtain or currently hold a valid TWIC card.
