Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Considerable knowledge and experience of heating, boilers, air conditioning systems, electrical systems, building and grounds maintenance and equipment repair.
- Ability and understanding of various Federal, State and County codes and regulations involving construction, installation, fire, safety and sanitation.

- Qualifications/Education Requirements
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an Associates Degree in engineering is preferred, but may be substituted by progressive equivalent job experience. Minimum experience should be at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the operation of a commercial or institutional facility. Experience should include a well-rounded background and vast knowledge of heating, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing systems, including equipment maintenance and repairs.

- Ensures that all maintenance service and repairs pertaining to building and related equipment are completed in a timely manner.
- Responds as needed to all emergencies and ensures responsible back-up is available in order to take corrective action as necessary.
- Coordinates maintenance and general procurement of materials and parts, schedules installations and oversees that such repairs are accomplished in a safe and timely manner.
- Implements preventative maintenance programs for utility systems, equipment and building maintenance.
- Adheres to safety regulations and programs.
- Maintains accurate records with regard to annual inspection of equipment and general preventative maintenance including rotational work assignment.
- Is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of maintenance department.
- Performs other duties as required.
