Coastal Fiber is a Telecom construction company in Ashland, VA. We build, design, and repair fiber optic networks for our customers. The photos, videos, bank transactions, and other systems operating on your phone, tablet, or laptop computer need this specialized infrastructure to function. With over 20 years of Telecom experience, the company employs almost 300 people in the Eastern US, with close to 40 in the Coastal Fiber division. What we expect
We generally work in the state of VA with occasional stay-over work. Most of our crew members return home at the end of each day. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Operating and maintaining Directional Drill
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Capability to train crew(s) on all aspects of proper drill operations, adhering to safe work practices
- Drive and perform manual labor as required
Job Requirements
- 5 years’ experience operating rigs under 20,000lbs.
- Telecommunication experience preferred, but not required
- Rock experience preferred, but not required
- Must be available to work any shift
- Display high level verbal and written communication skills
- Regional travel required, including occasional overnight(s)
- Valid CDL A License required
