Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for low voltage electrical projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of low voltage electrical processes, and the ability to negotiate effectively with contractors and suppliers.
Duties
- Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam for efficient estimating processes.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data relevant to the estimation process.
- Prepare and submit contract proposals, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to maintain cost control.
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve favorable terms.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
Skills
- Proficient in construction estimating techniques and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of cost control measures in construction projects.
- Familiarity with contract management and negotiation strategies.
- Experience using Bluebeam software for estimating purposes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Understanding of project management principles as they relate to estimating processes.
