JOB SUMMARY
Performs QC tests and inspections on various materials and products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards. Observes, investigates, audits and reports quality related problems found to management and provides timely feedback to various production departments to include operators and other personnel on QC issues. Makes decisions based on established guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quality of work needs to be accurate with efforts to improve productivity.
- Have working knowledge of the product, understanding function of all equipment used.
- Be able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner under minimal supervision.
- Complies with the policies and procedures of the organization.
- Observes all safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly.
- Keep your work area clean and organized, understand and follow 5S.
- Educates production staff regarding QC standards, testing and inspection procedures.
- Assists in training less experienced staff and educate others regarding quality standards and procedures.
- Make decisions based on established QC test and inspection guidelines.
- Ensures quality of the products
- Inspects products being produced and remove all products that fail to meet specifications.
- Records the pass/fail products and clearly complete the inspection report.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, ISO 9001/IATF 16949 & Safety programs
- Performs other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL
High School graduate or equivalent education and training. Related inspection, production or other equivalent experience and/or training. Must have ability to use basic measuring and inspection tools, understand and follow general instructions, procedures and policies, must be able to apply basic math to different units of measurement.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Position requires ability to access all production and equipment areas. Must be able to walk, climb stairs and platforms, stoop, bend and stand for long periods of time. Hearing and visual ability to perform required work safely in production area. Must be able to safely lift, move or carrying items of at least 35lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Office and plant production environment where exposure to equipment, materials, heat, moving parts, noise, and chemicals exists. Safety glasses and other PPE required to be worn at all times necessary.
