Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team on a full-time basis. The Caregiver will provide support and assistance to patients in a variety of settings, helping them with daily activities and promoting their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Help patients with mobility and physical therapy exercises
- Prepare and serve meals according to patients' dietary needs
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to lift and move patients with assistance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:
The Caregiver will work full-time, 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays. The work environment may vary depending on the setting, but will primarily involve working in patients' homes or healthcare facilities.
