Coastal Health is seeking a motivated, career-oriented Front Office Check-Out Representative to join our team! As a Front Office Check-Out Representative, you will be responsible for serving patients by greeting and assisting them, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and maintaining patient records. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth office operations and delivering excellent patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients with scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and managing their accounts.
- Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying providers of patient arrivals and tracking any service delays.
- Comfort patients by addressing their concerns and providing support during visits.
- File and retrieve patient records as needed to ensure availability of treatment information.
- Maintain and update patient accounts, including recording and collecting payments, managing balances, and ensuring accurate financial data.
- Manage office inventory and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and receipt of necessary items.
- Respond to patient emergencies, providing necessary assistance and comfort.
- Protect patient confidentiality by maintaining privacy of personal and financial information.
- Follow all office policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to team goals and support colleagues as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service, greeting patients and visitors in person or over the phone and answering or referring inquiries as appropriate.
