Amelia Psychiatry is currently searching for a motivated, career-oriented Psychiatrist to join our growing practice. Established in 2013 and a part of a multi-specialty group in beautiful Fernandina Beach Florida.
Ideal candidates should possess a compassionate and collaborative approach to patient care.
Job Duties:

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations by interviewing patients, reviewing medical history, observing behaviors to identify mental health concerns.

Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy, medication management, and other therapeutic interventions.

Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, adjusting dosages as needed based on patient response.

Assess and manage psychiatric emergencies, providing immediate support during crisis situations.

Work with other healthcare professionals like psychologists, social workers, and primary care physicians to coordinate patient care.

Maintain detailed patient records, including diagnoses, treatment plans, medication changes, and progress notes.

Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping mechanisms.

With this position the candidate will be supervising AP’s by reviewing patient charts and care plans and working as a team.
Qualifications:

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry

Active/ Unrestricted Florida License

Expertise in using the DSM to accurately diagnose mental health disorders

Proficiency in various psychotherapeutic approaches and techniques

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with patients and other healthcare providers

Ability to build rapport with patients and understand their experiences with mental health challenges

Analyze complex patient information to develop appropriate treatment plans
