Referral Coordinator - Coastal Health
Coastal Health is looking for a dedicated, career-focused Referral Coordinator to join our expanding team. This position involves handling both inbound and outbound referrals, with a strong emphasis on insurance verification and related processes. The Referral Coordinator will also play a key role in scheduling patient appointments and referring patients to the appropriate physicians or specialists based on their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet, direct, and assist patients and visitors upon their arrival or via telecommunication.
- Serve as the main liaison for patients and the practice, managing referral coordination, scheduling, and other office functions.
- Ensure smooth patient flow by efficiently coordinating referrals and appointments.
- Accurately collect, document, and retrieve patient data using both computerized and paper-based systems.
- Perform registration tasks, insurance verification, co-payments, authorizations, and handle referral inquiries.
- Help maintain medical records and filing systems.
- Provide clerical and secretarial support, collaborating with multiple departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications
Minimum 1-3 years experience in a medical office preferred. Experiance with Referrals and Insurance a must. High school diploma or equivalent, Customer service, Oral and Written communication skills, Knowledge of medical terminology, Data entry skills, Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and teamwork.
