Job Summary:
The Roll Clamp Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a roll clamp forklift to handle, transport, and load/unload various materials, primarily rolls of paper. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling: Operate roll clamp forklifts to move, stack, and store rolls of material in designated areas.
- Loading/Unloading: Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper placement and securing of loads.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of materials handled.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on roll clamp equipment, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of materials.
- Independent Work: Demonstrate the ability to work independently, managing tasks effectively while adhering to company policies and procedure.
- Documentation: Complete necessary documentation for material transfers and deliveries as required.
- Other Duties: Perform other job duties as assigned by the supervisor to support overall operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience operating roll clamp forklifts in warehouse.
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Work Environment:
- Conditions: The role involves working in an office setting with occasional visits to warehouse or operational areas to support systems and equipment.
- Hours: Must be available to work flexible hours, including on-call support for critical IT issues outside of standard business hours.
Work Schedule:
- Days: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
