Requirements
Installation and Repair
- System Installation: Installing plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances, for commercial buildings.
- Repair and Maintenance: Diagnosing and repairing issues with plumbing systems such as leaks, blockages, or malfunctions.
- Specialized Equipment: Working with complex or specialized plumbing equipment, such as industrial-grade water heaters, grease traps, or fire sprinkler systems.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure proper installation and compliance.
- Material Management: Identifying and sourcing materials and tools required for specific projects.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinating with engineers, architects, and other tradespeople to ensure project timelines and specifications are met.
- Code Adherence: Ensuring all work complies with local, state, and national plumbing codes and regulations.
- Safety Protocols: Following and enforcing OSHA safety standards to protect team members, clients, and the public.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed.
- Rapid Issue Resolution: Troubleshooting and resolving unexpected challenges or emergencies that arise during projects.
- Customization: Adapting solutions to meet unique project requirements or space constraints.
- Fast Turnaround: Managing multiple tasks and adapting quickly to changes in project priorities or scope.
- Innovation: Implementing creative or advanced plumbing solutions tailored to the specific needs of special projects.
- Client Interaction: Communicating effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a plumber in a commercial setting.
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Medical gas certification a plus
- Excellent communication in English and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Climbing up and down ladders
- Push, pull and frequently carry objects as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. - Stand and walk for long periods of time. -
- See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.
- Overtime and weekend availability, regular attendance
- Work in heat and various other weather conditions
- Travel to current job sites within Florida
