Description:
Coastal Mechanical, one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast, is currently seeking friendly, reliable, Commercial Plumbers for Service Techs to work in the Orlando area of Florida for large commercial projects, mainly hospitals, schools, and Government projects. *Non-commission based and not per diem. This is a Safety Sensitive position.
Requirements:Requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- 5 years of commercial plumbing experience is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to handle a variety of plumbing emergencies efficiently and professionally
- Plumber must have the ability to work jobs independently from start to finish
- Must provide excellent customer service to customers
- Respond in a timely manner to plumbing service calls
- Install pipes, drainage systems, sinks, toilets, heating, and cooling systems
- Test systems for leaks and other problems
- Obey all health and safety codes at all times
- Perform inspections and proved sound advice about plumbing systems
- Use cost-effective, quality products for installation and repair
- Plumber may work with other trades and workers cooperatively.
- Provide time and cost estimates to customers before work is performed
- Communicate politely and effectively with facilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specs, and understand code.
- Thorough knowledge of water, heating, and ventilation systems.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Be available for afterhours work and on-call status
- Med Gas Certification is a plus
- Journeyman Certification is a plus
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Technically savvy with use of Tablets, Laptops, Email
Essential Functions:
- Climbing up and down ladders
- Push, pull and frequently carry objects as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. –
- Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. – Stand and walk for long periods of time. –
- See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.
- Overtime and weekend availability, regular attendance
- Work in heat and various other weather conditions
- Travel to current job sites within Florida
