Description : Full-time experienced Medical Billing & Coding, located in Bluffton. Must be a superstar We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to join a fast growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding medical records, processing billing claims, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical office environment. Duties for Medical Billing and Coding Specialist Review patient medical records to extract relevant information for coding purposes. Assign appropriate codes using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems for diagnoses and procedures. Ensure accurate billing by verifying insurance information and processing claims in a timely manner. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in medical records or billing information. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, DRG (Diagnosis Related Group), and coding guidelines. Assist in the management of medical records, ensuring they are complete and compliant with regulations. Utilize various systems and software for efficient billing processes and record management. Experience required of Medical Billing and Coding Specialist Proven experience in medical billing and coding is preferred, with familiarity in both ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems. Strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to interpret clinical documentation effectively. Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of DRG systems and their application in billing processes is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
