Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Medical Practice Assistant Manager located in Jupiter, FL. The Practice Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, handling administrative tasks, managing staff, and ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare administration or management
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems, we utilize eClinicalWorks
- Experience with eClinicalWorks
- Knowledge of medical billing and coding
- Preferred billing and coding knowledge in nephrology and primary care
- Leadership and team management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Insurance credentialing and reimbursement negotiation
- Managing staff schedule
- Managing patient concerns or questions
- Managing electronic medical record system (eClinicalWorks)
- Staying informed and up to date with medical advances and tools to be used in the practice
- Monthly meetings with vendors and staff
- Troubleshooting IT and maintenance issues
- Assisting front office staff with patient flow
- Daily mail, email and vendor correspondence
- Staying current with OSHA and HIPAA yearly regulations
- Onboard and train new staff
