Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Manager to oversee our billing department at CNI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing operations, ensuring accuracy in invoicing, and maintaining strong relationships with insurance and other medical practices. This role requires exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure that all billing processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Supervise the billing team, providing guidance and support to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
- Develop and implement billing policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Review and approve invoices before they are sent to clients, ensuring accuracy in charges.
- Address client inquiries regarding billing issues, discrepancies, or payment terms in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication regarding billing-related matters.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts as necessary.
- Prepare regular reports on billing metrics, trends, and team performance for management review.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to medical billing processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a billing management role or similar position within a medical financial department.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to billing and invoicing.
- Proficiency in medical billing software, such as Athena and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing a team effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accuracy in all billing operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
