What You'll Do :
Perform all required diagnostic MRI scanning procedures through proper positioning and technique, consistently demonstrating good judgment in evaluating the diagnostic studies.Screen patient before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination (i.e., pain, claustrophobia, metallic objects, isolation patients, etc.). Obtain and review the requisition for examination to obtain information such as procedure requested, clinical history, patient condition or any other special requirements.Thoroughly explain procedure to be performed to alleviate patient anxiety and facilitate patient cooperation. Monitor the condition of any patient within the department and assist the radiologist in performing needed medical attention, if applicable.Prepares patients for MR procedures assisting patients onto examination tables and positioning patient for proper imaging.Routinely prepare examination for interpretation by the radiologist to include correct identification and image processing, adequate clinical history and other relevant image studies for comparison (if available).Maintain the MR scanning equipment in good operating order. Clean and disinfect equipment and area after each use. Maintain work area in an orderly manner. Check to ensure emergency equipment is in good working order. Report any hazardous conditions or equipment breakdowns to responsible supervisor.Comply with company operational and safety policies and procedures. Comply with company policies, procedures, and emergency response procedures, where applicable.Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.What Your Qualifications Should Be :
Graduated from an AMA approved school of Radiologic TechnologyMinimum (3) years’ experience as MRI TechnologistRadiological Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)State of Florida CertificationCurrent Basic Life Support ( CPR )Orthopedic experience and venipuncture experience desiredWhat Your Benefits Look Like :
