What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spot Truck Driver-Packing & Shipping position at COASTAL PROCESSING, LLC?
Purpose/Scope:
Responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe working environment and comply with federal, state, and company regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Coastal Processing requires all employees to comply with and support all Food Safety and Quality policies, programs and procedures to ensure our products meet and exceed consumers’ expectation
· Moves trailers between the drop yard and live receiving area
· Ensures trailers are processed in designated order
· Performs Pre-trip Safety Inspections of truck each day
· Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns
· Ensures poultry is maintained and in compliance with all USDA, Animal Welfare, and company regulations
· Keeps a clean and organized work area
· Fuels Spotter trucks and fuels trailers as needed
· Wash trailer and cages when needed
· Communicates load information with appropriate personnel.
· Other duties as directed
