What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information and Assistance Counselor position at Coastal Regional Commission of Georgia?
The Coastal Georgia Area Agency on Aging is seeking one qualified candidate to fulfill the duties of an Information and Assistance Counselor for senior adults, caregivers, and persons with disabilities. The successful candidate should possess a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field. Knowledge in Gerontology, Health Sciences, or related field is desirable. Must have excellent telephone manner, verbal communication skills, listening and interviewing skills, and strong computer skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying caller needs, processing appropriate assessments, directing individuals to resources, maintaining records, and generating specialized reports. Office located in Darien, Georgia. Excellent Fringe Benefits and four-day work week. EOE, Salary DOE/Q.
