Position Summary:
The Compliance Officer- Consumer Protection assists the Chief Compliance Officer in implementing the Bank’s compliance management system in a consultative fashion, aiding the Bank in executing its business strategy in a compliant manner. Leveraging their deep knowledge of federal consumer protection laws and regulations, bank products and services, and technology tools, this individual provides monitoring, remediation, and limited guidance services to CSB management and staff. Using strong analytical and organizational skills, this individual identifies compliance issues and risks to allow the Bank to mitigate them.
We are looking for an experienced full-time Compliance Officer-Consumer Protection. This position works Mondays through Fridays in a professional setting at our headquarters in Atlanta, GA. This is not a remote or hybrid position. Out of town applications will not be considered. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Essential Functions:
At the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer, the Compliance Officer- Consumer Protection:
- Assists in the development of various risk assessments prepared by the compliance department;
- Ensures execution of the risk-based compliance monitoring program at the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), including;
- Execution of the schedule according to the timeframes prescribed, including completeness and integrity of data reporting for HMDA and CRA; as applicable;
- Reporting of results to management of the impacted areas, and remediation of findings;
- Reporting of the above to the Management Compliance Committee (MCC) and the Credit and Risk Committee of the Board.
- Provides support for audits and examinations, including coordination of pre-audit/exam documentation requirements, serving as point person for auditors/examiners, and coordinating meetings between auditors/examiners and CSB staff;
- Tracks remediation efforts for monitoring, audit, and examination to completion. Ensures remediation is prompt, lasting, and effective by performing root cause analysis, working with departments to update policies, procedures, and processes, providing training, and conducting follow-up testing;
- Assists the Chief Compliance Officer in developing and executing implementation plans for new and revised regulations and guidance documents issued by federal and state regulatory authorities.
- Assists the CCO in providing compliance support and guidance to CSB management and staff by answering compliance questions, reviewing advertisements, and so forth;
- Assists in receipt and processing of consumer complaints.

Qualifications
Preferred Education/Experience/Software:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 3 years of experience in a regulatory compliance management program within the banking, credit union, or financial services industry.
- Banking experience at institution greater than $1 billion in total assets.
- Experience with transaction life cycles of common bank consumer products and services required.
- Experience with bank loan operating systems and core processing systems preferred.
- CRCM certification preferred.
Training:
Responsible for the timely completion of all required compliance training such as BSA, Information Security, and other job specific training as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
Must acquire and maintain the required knowledge of State and Federal Banking regulations and policies.
Travel:
Travel to other locations for meetings with management, staff, and to attend or conduct training (up to 20%) required.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Professional office environment. While performing the duties of this position, the team member is regularly required to operate standard office equipment. The team member is frequently required to communicate and perceive. The position is primarily stationary and not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and requires sedentary work such as exerting up to 10 pounds of force 5% of the time and a negligible amount of force approximately 95% of the time.
