Tax Preparer (Seasonal)

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding their financial situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Review financial records, including income statements and documentation of expenditures.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or other financial software to ensure accurate reporting.
• Conduct thorough analyses of clients' financial situations to identify potential deductions and credits.
• Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities.
• Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information while ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and financial software is essential.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and accounting principles.
• Excellent math skills and proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
• Experience in financial sales or market analysis is a plus.
• Technical accounting knowledge will be beneficial in this role.

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
