About the Role :

The Patient Admissions and AR Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and efficient patient intake process while managing accounts receivable for the healthcare facility. This position is responsible for verifying patient information, processing admissions, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately. The specialist will also handle billing inquiries, follow up on outstanding accounts, and work closely with insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies. By maintaining accurate records and providing exceptional customer service, the specialist contributes to the overall patient experience and the financial health of the organization. Ultimately, this role is vital in bridging the gap between patient care and administrative efficiency, ensuring that patients receive the best possible service from the moment they enter the facility. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 5 : 30am-2 : 00pm.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in patient admissions or accounts receivable in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of medical billing practices.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 1 years of experience with patient admissions and accounts receivable.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Greet all patients and visitors upon arrival to the facility.
  • Manage the patient admissions process, including collecting and verifying patient information and insurance details.
  • Collect co-payments and reconcile all daily reports and deposits for accuracy.
  • Process and maintain accurate records of patient admissions and discharges in the electronic health record system.
  • Handle billing inquiries and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable to ensure timely payments.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns regarding the admissions process.
  • Skills :

Excellent communication skills are necessary for effectively interacting with patients, families, and insurance representatives, fostering a positive experience.
