Director of Staff Development
Coastal View Healthcare Center is a 93-Bed Skilled Nursing Facility with a 24 bed subacute care unit.
RN or LVN (Rate of pay will depend on experience) Currently licensed in teh State of California. Must have one year full-time experience as a licensed nurse in providing direct nursing care in a SNF.
Job Summary : The DSD shall report to the Director of nursing and shall assume responsibility for Orientation, Inservice Education for SNF and SUbacute for all employees (all departments).
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Conduct Orientation for new employees.
- Conduct pre-employment screening (interviews, background check, references, etc.)
- Prepares applications for DPH and DSDs, Orientation, Inservices, Continuing Education.
- Prepares renewal applications for all editorial programs.
- Prepares / obtains and files lesson plans for all programs taught for facility employees.
- Maintains a current schedule of all students and instructors who may be in teh facility doing clinical training. Confirms the validity of certifications for all CNAs hired.
- Be an active member of the QAPI Committee and Quality initiatives.
- Participate in facility surveys-all inspections and assist with Plan of Correction as directed by Adminsitrator, Director of Nursing or designated survey coordinator.
- Follow facility policies and procedures for nursing, safety, emergency & administration.
REQUIREMENTS :
Current RN or LVN in State of California
1 year experience in SNF, LTC or Subacute (in a SNF)
Pass background check with no history of abuse
Job type : Full-time in person
Pay from $40 hour (start of LVN range) to $55 hour (top of RN range). Depends on experience.
