What are the responsibilities and job description for the LVN Charge Nurse Subacute position at COASTAL VIEW HEALTHCARE CENTER?
1) Performresident assessments and develop, implement and evaluate care plans asnecessary per state, federal, and facility policies.
2) Performtreatments-administer medications, and/or implement other nursing interventionsas indicated by the resident care plan or as ordered by the physician. Notify doctor timely as needed.
3) Providenursing care in accordance with acceptable infection control standards.
4) Followsafety policies while performing nursing care.
5) Initiateemergency measures according to facility policies and nursing practices.
6) Maintainall documentation as required by federal and state regulations and facilitypolicy.
7) Maintaininventory of supplies and/or medications to meet the needs of the resident.
8) Participatein assigned meetings and in-services and quality assurance meetings.
9) Meetunit work goals through assignment of nursing assistants and resident careneeds.
10) Evaluatequality and quantity of resident care service by nursing assistants.
11) Presentprofessional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech.
12) Adhereto facility guidelines for resolving consumer concerns.
13) Monitorthat consumer/resident rights and privacy are protected.
14) Any other reasonable duties deemed appropriate the Nursing Supervisor or Directorof Nursing.
Each RN and LVN shall upon hire provide to the employer evidence of the following:
Requirements: A minimum of six months experience within the past two years working in a general acute care facility; or
An acquired equivalent competency appropriate to the type of subacute patient the facility provides care for.
