Your Role:
As a Line Lead, you will oversee the sorting line, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety and quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and assisting team members in sorting recyclable materials such as paper, glass, plastic, and metals
- Monitoring the sorting process to ensure proper separation and quality control
- Training and coaching team members on best practices and safety protocols
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Reporting machinery malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area to prevent safety hazards
- Leading by example and fostering a positive team environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous work experience in a recycling facility or similar setting is a plus
- Monitoring the sorting process to ensure proper separation and quality control
- Physical stamina and strength, able to lift and move heavy items
- Helping train team members on best practices and safety protocols
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols
- Able to work as part of a team
- Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish or Creole)
