What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Representative Manager position at Coastal?
We are looking for a Business Development Representative Manager to help us support our continued growth.
Role Responsibilities:
- As BDR Manager, you will work directly with VPs of Sales, as well as Coastal’s Business Unit Leaders, to create and develop our Sales Development strategy, process and playbooks
- Hire, train and develop a world-class BDR team while also contributing to pipeline generation and revenue growth
- Ensure and facilitate the professional development of your team, advancing the goal of a one to two year promotion track for BDRs
- Enable your team to relentlessly prospect, identify and qualify sales pipeline through your coaching and mentoring on topics including qualification, prospecting techniques, phone skills, and strategic engagement with Client Advisors
- Drive Coastal’s outbounding strategy, identify areas for improvement in our approach, and build new messaging and workflows to ensure the team is properly trained/equipped to successfully perform against our goals.
- Motivate & develop individuals and the team to hit their personal and professional goals through coaching and mentorship
- Collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to create scalable, repeatable outreach efforts related to organization wide sales plays
- Continually scale and improve sales plays, processes and motions for BDR team
- Partner with sales and marketing leaders to refine GTM messaging
- Create comprehensive KPIs & dashboards to analyze team individual metrics to find opportunities to improve qualification and success rates with new tactics, tools, and campaigns.
- Accurately forecast and report on the state of your business to guide focus across Sales, Marketing, and Delivery.
Experience/Skills Required:
- Experience hiring, managing, developing, and leading a BDR team with a track record of success hitting monthly, quarterly & annual quotas
- Experience achieving or exceeding quota in a Business Development role (ideally in the Salesforce ecosystem or Business Consulting Industry and/or as a team lead)
- Having an analytical approach to solving business problems, while leveraging metrics and results to coach individuals to success
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and deep ownership mindset
- Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, Lexington, KY
- Must have full-time permanent US work authorization
Additional Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience
- Experience with Technology: Salesforce, Zoominfo, LinkedIn
