Coastal1 Credit Union is seeking an IT Applications Support I in our IT Department! This role will provide support and maintenance for all in-house Coastal1 business applications and databases, assist with vendor support for hosted applications and act as a liaison between business lines and IT to determine and develop business required outcomes using technology and process.
This role requires ON SITE availability in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains business line relationships for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
- Understand and execute new business processes or applications based on business requirements.
- Review and work tickets for application issues. Escalate issues as needed and monitor ticket status to ensure issues are resolved within SLAs.
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, ensuring effective communication of technical solutions to stakeholders during maintenance tasks.
- Closely work with the Project management team and Business lines in the development of existing or new systems that support a business solution.
- Assist in translating and executing the business needs into IT requirements and solutions.
- Perform application and database installs, upgrades, and patching.
- Support in conducting and coordinating User Acceptance Testing to ensure the solutions meet business requirements and are user-friendly.
- Monitor application performance and logs. Proactively resolve application related issues.
- Participate in application recovery process.
- Create scripts for processing and maintenance of applications.
- Application administration such as parameter changes and user administration.
- Resolve complex branch hardware and software issues with ATM and check imaging.
- Support core system interfaces to 3rd party applications.
- Research and resolve account processing issues such as interest posting issues at the account level and product level issues.
- Support daily/night/month-end batch. Process files to external vendors and internal staff.
- Provide after-hours support.
- Perform other duties as required.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, some college or technology related classes or training. Associates degree preferred.
- At least 1 to 3 years successful demonstrated work-related experience in supporting application and databases in a distributed computing environment.
- Experience working in a helpdesk environment and performing a majority of tasks required.
- Must have a basic understanding of relational databases and database software, scripting languages, VMware, financial systems, and Coastal1 security controls.
- Be able to apply basic understanding of technology standards related to desktop OS and applications.
- Ability to proactively identify and resolve complex issues that span multiple applications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with time management/organizational/multi-tasking skills.
- Must possess analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail and follow-through. Must have a good understanding of the business functions/operations in the financial services industry.
- Proficient with MS Office and various software applications.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must have good interpersonal relations to assist end users in a helpful and friendly manner.
- Ability to maintain a positive and upbeat Credit Union image.
- Ability to work collaboratively across all levels and functions of Coastal1 to coordinate solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
