What are the responsibilities and job description for the UB Foreign Language Instructor Part-Time Temporary position at coastalbend?
Essential Functions:
The program’s instructor works closely with the Upward Bound & Upward Bound Rural (UB/UBR) Project Directors to ensure success in meeting the program’s purpose and objectives by providing instruction and guidance to all students who enroll in such classes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach a course load appropriate to their field or discipline.
Create daily/weekly lesson plans for instruction.
Monitor and keep a daily log of student attendance, behavior, and academic development.
Assess teaching and learning outcomes and provide essential feedback to Program Directors.
Development of curriculum and provide a written evaluation of each participant enrolled in the class.
Provide guidance for students in the areas of social and personal growth.
Be on time for classes and notify the Program Directors as early as possible of an unscheduled absence.
Provide lesson assignments and any other necessary materials or equipment for a substitute teacher.
Report students’ behavior problems as they arise.
Travel Requirements:
None.
Environment:
Conduct job functions on the Coastal Bend College campus. There will be daily interaction with students in a fast-paced environment.
