Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing vehicles for painting by ensuring surfaces are clean, smooth, and ready for application. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with various tools and equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas that need protection during the painting process.
- Utilize power tools effectively for surface preparation, including sanders and grinders.
- Perform heavy lifting of vehicle parts and materials as required during the prep process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to quality standards.
- Work with lead tech to keep vehicles flowing through the paint department.
- Paint department maintenance, including filter change for spray booth, sweeping, garbage, etc
- Cut and buff after paint.
Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge in auto body repair is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as needed throughout the day.
- Previous experience in auto painting or related fields is advantageous.
