What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grading Foreman position at Coastline Contracting, Inc.?
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Grading Foreman to join our team. This position will oversee and coordinate grading crews and equipment on various construction projects, ensuring that work is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise grading crew and equipment operators on site
- Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes
- Ensure proper setup and maintenance of grading equipment (bulldozers, motor graders, etc.)
- Monitor site progress and make adjustments to meet production goals and deadlines
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized job site
- Provide on-site training, guidance, and mentorship to crew members
- Track daily production reports and submit progress updates
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in grading/site work, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of grading practices, equipment operation, and reading site plans
- Ability to lead a team while maintaining high productivity and quality
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred (or willing to obtain)

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
