Job description
Coastline EMS is looking for an experienced Dispatch/Call Taker for our location in Pawtucket, RI. This is an on-site position and can be full or part time.
In this position you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service for dispatch services for Coastline EMS.
Dispatcher Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide professional and courteous service while receiving incoming calls from the public or other public safety entities requesting emergency and non-emergency assistance.
- Answers phone and radio calls in the most appropriate, safe, and efficient manner.
- Prioritize non-emergency requests for services based on available resources, locations, and contracts.
- Monitor multiple computer screens, radios, and phone calls simultaneously.
- Able to maintain good judgement and demeanor during busy and/or stressful periods.
- Completes all appropriate paperwork and logs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Trained in the Chair Car division to assist department upon need/request.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Exceptional multitasking capability
- Ability to communicate clearly, efficiently and appropriately
- Ability to remain calm during busy and stressful times and calls
- Valid Driver’s License
- CPR/1st Aid Certification preferred
- Other trainings and certification as needed
