Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and clamp trucks to efficiently load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and adherence to OSHA safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
Duties
- Operate forklifts and clamp trucks to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain an organized inventory by utilizing warehouse management systems.
- Perform regular inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
- Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting (Certified)
- At least 5 yrs of previous experience.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds) safely.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor is a plus but not required.
