Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes to load and unload materials from delivery trucks and storage areas.
- Perform materials handling tasks including order picking and transporting products throughout the warehouse.
- Ensure accurate inventory management by utilizing the warehouse management system for tracking and documenting movements of goods.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency within the distribution center.
Skills
- Proven experience in materials handling and heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and cranes.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including order picking and load/unload processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Experience with clamp trucks is a plus.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems is advantageous for tracking inventory accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining safety standards in all operations.
