What You’ll Do:

  • Read and Interpret Specifications: Use your expertise to interpret work orders, engineering drawings, and blueprints, ensuring all materials, dimensions, and operations are aligned.
  • Assist in Production Operations: Be part of the action, working on various processes like polishing, lapping, and machining metal, as well as fabricating equipment from the ground up.
  • Refine Metal Parts: Grind, sand, clean, buff, or polish metal components to perfection with hand tools and power tools.
  • Assemble Parts & Sub-assemblies: Position, align, and assemble parts to create finished products, following precise blueprints and layout specifications.
  • Trim & De-burr Components: Use your precision skills to trim, scrape, and de-burr objects, ensuring all parts are smooth and defect-free.
  • Operate Fabrication Machines: Set up and operate machines like manual mills, drill presses, and saws for bending, cutting, and assembling metal components to meet specifications.

What You Bring:

· High school graduate or GED is required.

· One year experience in a precision manufacturing environment is required.

· Experience working with metal and fabrication tools.

· Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.

· Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.

· A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.

· Previous experience with polishing, lapping, and machine operation is a plus!

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand on hard surfaces for long periods of time and walk frequently; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk; and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, particularly related to the ability to observe fine defects. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.

The employee must be able to exchange information in person, in writing, and via telephone.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
