Job Summary:
The assistant project manager is responsible for assisting the project manager in maintaining the scope, schedule, and budget. The position may involve performing other duties as required, which may not be mentioned below. Specific functions may change as business needs change.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Communicate and follow up with customers about projects and milestones
- Generate billings for customers based on services rendered and in coordination with the project manager
- Prepare customer bids and estimates based on labor, materials, equipment, and other expenses.
- Visit project sites to evaluate progress and to respond to customers' concerns and/or questions
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure that materials are available per timeline
- Maintain project files including bid packets, blueprints, quotes, RFI, etc.
- Communicate with field supervisors about delays and other issues that must be communicated to the customers
- Contribute, or otherwise assist as required
