What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer position at Cobalt Civil?
BASIC FUNCTION
The Laborer is responsible for assisting construction site workers in their primary tasks.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - identifies essential duties of the role of Laborer and may involve performing other duties as required, which may not be mentioned below. Specific functions may change from time to time:
- Assist construction site workers in their primary tasks
- Unload and load construction material
- Distribute materials
- Pull and prepare tools for daily task
- Pick-up clean and restore tools to their proper location when task is complete
- Erect, remove and clean concrete forms
- Shovel and or rake work required
- Remove debris
- Clean up spills
- Direct and control traffic
- Erect traffic control signs
- Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment
- Spotters for operators and truck drivers
- Oil, grease and clean equipment
- Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers
- Assist in finishing concrete - including using a trowel set, wreck form work and grind/rub to prep it for sealing and then seal.
- Assist in tying rebar
- Ground grid welding
- Additional duties as described below or as directed by onsite supervisor
