Entry-level Estimator role at a well-established Commercial General Contractor based in Poughkeepsie, NY that has been in business for 35 years. Estimating construction projects throughout the Hudson Valley.
Location : Poughkeepsie, NY
50,000 to $60,000 base salary benefits bonus
Responsibilities
- Research construction documents and analyze specifications
- Perform estimating and take-off functions
- Review and be responsible for the accuracy of take-offs
- Coordinate sub / vendor solicitations with the Leadership team
- Solicitation, coordinating with subs and suppliers for their quotations
- Analyze and evaluate sub / vendor quotes / offers
- Enter and finalize quotations in the estimate for bid submission
- Ensure relevant documents and budgets are submitted before bid deadline
- Visit project sites necessary to do the estimate
- Solicit bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
- Creates listings of appropriate contacts for specific projects
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposal for submittal
- Attend Owner meetings during estimate development
