The Acquisitions Analyst will be responsible for responsible for identifying and analyzing potential real estate investment opportunities through conducting financial analysis and market research, supporting due diligence, and creating strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be adept at financial modeling, and have an effective understanding of market trends.
About the Acquisition Analyst role:
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive Excel financial models to underwrite and assess property acquisitions, developments, and dispositions with a focus on yield-on-cost, IRR, equity multiple, and cash-on-cash metrics
- Analyze and identify opportunistic acquisitions across both commercial and residential properties and developments
- Provide complex financial analysis for ground-up development projects, joint ventures and other equity investments, mezzanine lending, major lease transactions, portfolio asset management, and ad hoc projects
- Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential acquisition opportunities in residential and commercial sectors
- Collaborate with the acquisitions team to develop and implement acquisition strategies aligned with company objectives
- Conduct due diligence, including financial analysis, property inspections, and market assessments to inform acquisition decisions
- Prepare detailed investment presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain investment records and data within internal systems to ensure accurate reporting and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in real estate investment, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or real estate brokerage
- Strong financial modeling skills with proficiency in Excel
- Strong analytical and due diligence abilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
