We’re looking for a Safety & Human Factors Manager to play a pivotal role in reducing human error and improving safety standards in rail operations. This newly created role will shape human performance programs, training strategies, and data-driven safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities of the Safety & Human Factors Manager:
- Analyze human performance trends, incidents, and near-misses to identify risks and drive safety improvements.
- Design and implement human factors strategies to enhance procedures, training, and workplace environments.
- Develop and deliver engaging training programs
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices.
- Use data-driven insights, predictive analytics, and human performance metrics to influence safety programs.
Skills & Experience Required:
- 3 years of human factors experience in a transportation or operational setting.
- Degree in Human Factors, Psychology, or Systems Engineering preferred.
- Strong background in Crew Resource Management (CRM) and behavioral safety programs.
- Proven ability to drive change in a multi-unionized environment.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and data analysis skills.
Location of the Safety & Human Factors Manager: Somerville, MA (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home).
Salary: $125,000 - $140,000 base up to 10% bonus full benefits (401k, pension, health & dental).
