Job Description
The Supervisor, Capital Markets Facilitation Specialist is responsible for deal coordination between Capital Markets and Operations for closing all syndicated and sold loans. Supervises the Facilitation Specialists team including workflow, administrative oversight, technical expertise and assists in their training and development. Additionally, serves as a subject matter expert and is assigned special projects.
Essential Functions
- Supervises workflow and establishes priorities to meet internal and external deadlines.
- Responsible for onboarding, training, mentoring, performance reviews and development of Capital Markets Facilitation Specialists (I-II).
- Oversees and is responsible for CDM entries for complex syndicated transactions in order to facilitate an accurate and timely closing.
- Works closely with Capital Markets Officers in the syndication process and is responsible for activity to close transactions.
- Primary interface with business partners to address questions and concerns for closing syndicated transactions.
- Supervises and processes secondary trades including secondary selldowns
- Oversees the accuracy, timeliness, and relevancy of the creation and maintenance of desk procedures and job aides specific to secondary trades and CDM entries.
- Primary reviewer of Participation Certificates prior to dissemination to farm credit institutions.
- Supervises the processing of amendments, waivers and consents with routine communication with bank groups.
- Supervises the facilitation of farm credit consolidation activity by working closely with stakeholders and organizing work effort.
- Supervises the coordination of the Master Participation Agreements between CoBank and farm credit institutions with the internal Legal division. Ensures a Master Participation Agreement is on file for all sales.
- Supervises the management of templates for Participation Certificates and Master Participation Agreements.
- Serves as the subject matter expert and resource for other associates for all basic and complex transaction types.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline required
Work Experience
- 5 years of experience in operational and administrative aspects of complex corporate, syndicated, and participated credits; or an appropriate combination of education and experience required
- 1 year of paralegal experience, preferably in a secured lending practice or law firm preferred
- Subject matter expert of loan documentation, credit practices, processes and procedures.
- Subject matter expert on CDM data fields specific to Capital Markets.
- Ability to understand credit reports and loan agreements in order to discern relevant facts and direct workflow.
- Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to solve problems and identify when to escalate issues.
- Proven ability to produce work that is timely, accurate and thorough.
- Excellent detail and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and complete regular work and special projects among competing timelines and priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, and interact with and engage others appropriately at all levels in the organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and other relevant business applications.
About CoBank
The typical base pay range for this role is between $98,500 - $121,180. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
