Schedule: 4-10 hour shifts per week 6am-5pm

Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
Line Construction Materials and Supplies
- Gather, issue, and retrieve materials and supplies for line construction
- Verify that proper quantities, weights, etc. of all materials and supplies ordered are received
- Deliver materials and supplies to and from other departments, and field crews.
- Issue reusable materials and supplies back to stock for later use
- Properly dispose of scrap materials and supplies
Paperwork for Materials and Supplies
- Properly route tool requisition slips, packing slips, and issue and material return slips
- Complete records for the monthly inspection of line hoses and rubber gloves
- Receive and properly record materials returned by line crews
- Complete records for hand tools and emergency items. Only issue them as required
Other Warehouse Duties
- Maintain all storage facilities and work areas in a neat and orderly manner. Keep all materials and supplies in assigned areas
- Inform Warehouse Supervisor when inventory levels are too high or too low based on corporate standards
- Obtain proper authorization prior to issuance of all materials and supplies
- Participate in inventory audits, as required
- Operate forklift, motorized warehouse equipment, and other equipment
- Provide adequate physical security for materials and supplies
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: High School or equivalent.
Minimum of six months experience in warehouse work, such as stocking, shipping/receiving, inventory control
Working knowledge of line construction materials and corporate policies and procedures
Basic mathematics, reading skills and writing
SKILLS:
Proficient in operating forklift, and other heavy equipment
Proficient with bar coding equipment
Ability to work with minimal supervision and at a fast pace
Possess valid Georgia driver’s license
PREFERRED:
Previous utility industry experience
Training in electric utility line construction
